Bizerba SE & Co. KG is a German provider of weighing and slicing technologies for industry and trade and is a worldwide leading specialist in industrial weighing and labeling technologies. It was founded in 1866 by the Bizer brothers in Balingen. Its name is a composite of the city's name and Bizer. Bizerba currently has over 100 divisions worldwide and a headquarters located in Balingen, Germany.

Bizerba communication to employees is deplorable, their structure is poor and management lacks presence, according to a former employee at

"Communication is abysmal with this company. No defined service area, so some techs end up driving up to 7 hours one way for 10 minutes of work. Never hear from management unless something is wrong. Would not recommend the company. There was little to no structure."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"This the most poorly managed company that does not care for their employees health and well being at all."

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"no job reviews, badly managed, no raises in 6 years"

Current Employee - Field Service Technician says

"sold a complete lie.... Staff turn around near 98%"

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"We had 10 days vacation, but when Maryland passed a law requiring the company to give us 5 days of sick time, they changed our vacation to Paid Time Off so they legally did not have to give us the additional days. Now we have 10 days PTO and gained nothing. Management has been running this place for a long time thinking this is still a small company, so the technology is lacking and the equipment is old. We can't keep up with the amount of work and everything constantly runs late. Customers also bully customer service into expediting orders and there are no extra charges for it. Then everything else runs even more behind than it was in the first place. Customers that are quiet get frustrated and dump us because we're too busy running orders for the demanding customers. I've worked here years and still haven't gotten a review. The handbook says we should get one once a year. It rarely ever happens. They purposely underpay people so they have to work overtime since they can't afford to pay their bills otherwise."

Current Employee - Field Service Technician says

"OT is paid as straight time due to company downtime (doesn’t exist). Management and dispatch do not know how to treat technicians. You’re merely a pawn. Most areas are severely understaffed and you’re expected to pick up the “slack”. Management is always sending out mass threatening emails to write employees up when a new procedure comes out. All in all just not a good experience unless you like to drive to one place, start going to another, get half way there and get told to go back because dispatch said so."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"Communication is abysmal with this company. No defined service area, so some techs end up driving up to 7 hours one way for 10 minutes of work. Never hear from management unless something is wrong, would be nice to hear some positive feedback once in awhile. Would not recommend company"

Current Employee - Field Service Engineer says

"Lots of travel, parts department is horrible, general lack of ownership, terrible compensation (raises, no time and a half over time etc.)."

Middle Management says

"Leadership and communication from upper management were severely lacking. Too much effort spent on reaction to daily fires. Management was way to lean to be pro-active. Very short sited. Conditions were deplorable. Too much finger pointing from within."

Former Employee - Quality says

"There was little to no structure."

Former Employee - Customer Service says

"Management was not. Make changes just to make changes."

Field Service Technician - Repair, Maintenance and Installation (Former Employee) says

"Managers refer to current and past techs with derogatory names and racial comments. There is no support from supervisor and just uses curse words with all techs. Absolutely the worse company. Run far away from this place."

cell technican (Former Employee) says

"There is to much favoritism in at this place, lead is awful sleeping all the time unknowledgeable on work ethics, treats employees unfairly, only give increases to certain individuals, always has last min time frame to ask if you can work late no advance notice. training is not good lead never take fault of anything always blaming employee for his mistakes. Warehouse lead hygiene is bad breath is horrible very unprofessional worse place I ever worked. I would not recommend this place to work, Place is filthy management always ask to you to sweep work areas that you not working in poor management.Hr lunchNo brakes"

Shipping and Receiving (Current Employee) says

"Lack of diversity no minority's in key roles or decision making roles racism at its worst minority's are looked down on as less than very high turnover rate especially minorities"

Service Technician (Former Employee) says

"a typical day at work started in the morning with me checking my email to see what service calls had come in. I would then have to plan out my day and decide on a route usually based on what customers were the farthest and work my way back towards my house, but I would also know which customers were considered "priority customers" and go to them first. I learned a bit about computers and networks. The management situation was disappointing. When I first started working there we had great management, but then they gave our manager a "lateral movement" and brought in a guy with no experience in management but was friends and neighbors with the people in charge. He then tried to manage though fear and intimidation. While I did not work in the building, I was there from time to time. What used to be a upbeat place with happy people turned into a gloomy place with not a lot of people smiling. My co-workers were generally good, friendly people who knew their job and were willing to help out if someone was out and was having issues. The hardest part of the job was dealing with management after the switch. The most enjoyable part of the job was the ability to plan out my own day without too much interference from the companyWorked from home. Planning out my own daymanager screaming and cursing on your voicemail when you didn't answer the phone during off hours"

Field Service Technician (Former Employee) says

"Expect to work 50+ hours every week once you are properly trained. Company has high turnover rate due to this. Limited advancement potential due to the fact that management is solidly in place, and technicians rarely stay long enough to fill these infrequent openings.Decent training program, work by yourself.Extremely long hours, limited support."

Dispatch/ Administrative Coordinator (Current Employee) says

"Manage Parts orders, provide pricing and quotes, create service tickets for techinicans, create spreadsheets for management and distributors. I learned alot about organization and management. Hardest part would be having the resources that are needed to complete a job. Most enjoyable part of the job is working with the customers and the technicians, being able to build relationships with them.Flexible hoursHolidays taken away, small raises, no resources"

Dispatcher (Former Employee) says

"My honest opinion is there was a lot of responsibilities and expected me to know everything in 2 weeks.very unrealistic with how much info they wanted me to learn in a very short period of time. Not a very good experience, everyone was really uptight and it was hard to work in that kind of environment."

Field Technician (Former Employee) says

"they dont care about anyone. especially if you're not a veteran. my manager was more concerned about being the "cool manager" than actually doing his job."

Warehouse Worker (Former Employee) says

"Good Company for the most part. Very organized and clean but people will throw you under the bus here as fast as they can. Your expected to do extra's if your a good worker. They will turn your back on you in a minute if they get the chance.Pay, BenefitsGossip, Envious people"

Field Service Technician (Current Employee) says

"A typical day is 8am-4pm. I learned how to work on scales and slicers. The management is ok at work related things, personal issues are handled well. Workplace culture is relaxed but yet stressfulPaid travel times and paid training and set own schedule and routes and company vehiclesLow salary for what is asked of you"

Field Service Engineer (Former Employee) says

"Good product and easy too understand job with support from coworkers. However, work/life balance was not good as I was constantly on the road about 6 days a week. Impossible to plan anything outside of work."

Service Technician (Current Employee) says

"This company definitely feels like 2 separate groups. You have the employees that work in the office and the employees that work in the field. The quality of the support structure and infrastructure of employee accessible materials is lacking. The compensation leaves much to be desired especially considering the level of frustration commonly found in your day to day, let alone if you are involved in any projects. With that said....If you get hired, the job is yours for as long as you want it. I only know of a few people that have been let go. Believe me when I say, you genuinely have to put some serious effort into getting fired for it to happen."

Dispatch Coordinator (Former Employee) says

"I am not happy with this this particular function of indeed. I would like to see an option to by pass this part of the process. People should be afforded the right to judge from their own a experience not by hear say."

National US Coordinator/Logistics (Former Employee) says

"Great stepping stone to start a career. A lot of Technician turn over, fast paced work environment. You learn everything from SAP to CRM, a lot of product knowledge. You get to meet a ton of great peopleAdvancement is limited"

Regional Service Technician (Former Employee) says

"There were long days, sometime you may have to spend the night at a hotel because driving home would take a long time or if was closer to the next job site. There was a lot of driving, job site could be as close as 2 miles or up to 4 hours away." is a non-profit organization and communications forum for social activism.
